Introduction to Defending the Deen Series

Alhamdulillah, we hope to slowly make available more beneficial clarifications regarding these affairs. As we see that some of our senior scholars such as Sheikh 'Abdul-Muhsin al-'Abaad, Sheikh Saaleh al-Fauzaan, and Sheikh Rabee'a al-Madhkhalee, may Allaah protect them all, are at the forefront of responding to false claims and misunderstandings attributed to Islaam which are often found within Arabic magazines, newspapers, and other related media. These different media outlets are often managed by those who are either ignorant or upon other than a clear and correct understanding of Islaam. And in some cases their lack of understanding is a direct result of their adoption and propagation of false western concepts and social agendas.

There is a great deal of benefit for the Muslims to be found in their explanations and clarifications to what was originally published, as they write their replies to be published in response and then read by the general Muslims in those same magazines, newspapers, and so forth. This is especially true as we find ourselves in the midst or many different current events and global situations where many people step forward to speak, yet truly beneficial knowledge of these affairs is only found within the guided voices of the people of knowledge who stand firmly upon the Sunnah.

Alhamdulillah, this is something we saw quite recently in the very clear explanations from our scholars regarding the recent events in many Muslim countries. Many statements came forth clarifying the true nature of public demonstrations against the Muslim rulers and governments, and putting forth an evidenced explanation of the clear opposition of this way to the principled position of the people of the Sunnah regarding this issue. May Allaah rectify the condition of the Muslims, remove our deficiencies and shortcomings, and increase us in our efforts for His sake and the defense of His straight path.
